Sadler’s Lake ($2.90) has been backed into outright favouritism in 2015 Rough Habit Plate betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au after opening at a quote of $4.50, ahead of Jumbo Prince ($3.30) and Peter Moody-trained pair Upham ($5) and Inauguration ($6)

Will Sadler’s Lake justify favouritism and win the 2015 Rough Habit Plate or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Inauguration ($6)

Inauguration was unable to handle the heavy conditions in his Queensland debut on the Gold Coast a fortnight ago, but is sure to relish the Doomben course in Saturday’s 2015 Rough Habit Plate. Posting two wins and two minors through eight career starts, the Authorized gelding booked his trip to Brisbane with an impressive performance for third in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) first-up on April 6th. Confirmed to be partnered by leading hoop Hugh Bowman, Inauguration will leave from the ideal barrier 5 and offers exceptional value for money at $6 Rough Habit Plate odds.

2nd

Jumbo Prince ($3.30)

Classy local Jumbo Prince carries winning form into the 2015 Rough Habit Plate having taken out the Toowoomba Guineas (1625m) last weekend but will need some luck in running after drawing the wide barrier 9. Posting eight wins and a further seven minors through his 19 career starts, the Outback Prince colt won the Professor G McKellar Memorial Handicap (1200m) and placed second in the Stradbroke Eve Calcutta BM85 (1350m) in his two starts leading into last Saturday’s triumph. Sure to receive a gem of a ride from Luke Tarrant, Jumbo Prince arguably offers the best value for money as a fold in a 2015 Rough Habit Plate quinella or trifecta bet.

3rd

Sadler’s Lake ($2.90)

Sadler’s Lake has contested just five career starts since debuting for Chris Waller over summer but has quickly stamped his claims as one to watch in posting two wins and a close second. Unlucky to be blocked for a run and fourth in the Listed South Pacific Classic (1400m) on April 11th, the High Chaparral gelding boxed on for a close second in the Gallipoli BM70 (1600m) last time out and looks sure to relish a step-up to 2000m in the Rough Habit Plate.
